Singularity-Katakamuna

Note on Katakamuna — The Ninth Verse:What Matter Is Made Of

Why does an electron stay an electron?

Not why it exists. Why it remains what it is.

An electron has a precise mass, a precise charge, a precise spin. These values do not drift. An electron measured today has exactly the same properties as an electron measured anywhere in the observable universe. It does not gradually become something else. It does not forget what it is.

Physics measures this with extraordinary precision. It does not explain it.

Katakamuna Verse 09 addresses this directly.

A ME NO TO KO TA CHI   KU NI TO KO TA CHI
A ME   KU NI KA   SO KO   SO KI   TA CHI
KA TA   KA MU NA   MA NO   TO KI   TO KO RO   TO KO   TA CHI

The Verse describes two levels of material existence.

A ME: elementary particles gathered into assemblies — protons, neutrons, electrons. The image is raindrops: individual water molecules drawn together into a bounded, coherent form.

KU NI: what freely settles. Atoms forming from those assemblies. Molecules forming from atoms. The 118 elements of the periodic table. The estimated 1060 possible organic molecules. All of it: things that freely combined and arrived at stable configurations.

TO KO TA CHI is the answer the Verse gives.

TO KO is the substrate behind every completed phenomenon — the ground, the bed, the condition that makes stable existence possible. The modern Japanese word toko (床) — seedbed, hotbed — carries this meaning. Not coincidentally.

TA CHI is the intrinsic quality itself. Not the conferral of quality. The quality as it exists in the thing. The modern Japanese word tachi (質) — character, nature, disposition — carries this too.

TO KO TA CHI: the background in which a thing holds its own intrinsic nature. The electron stays an electron because the ground of its existence — the TO KO — continuously sustains the qualities — the TA CHI — that make it what it is.

The Verse also describes SO KO SO KI.

SO KO: the expansive force. The tendency to spread, to move outward, to radiate.
SO KI: the contractive force. The tendency to draw inward, to condense, to hold together.

Every material entity — from an electron to a galaxy — holds both simultaneously. The balance between them is what stable existence looks like. When the balance shifts, phenomena arise: nuclear fusion, gravitational collapse, chemical reactions, the accelerating expansion of the universe. All of it is SO KO SO KI moving out of equilibrium and finding a new one.

The source of all of this, the Verse names directly.

KA TA KA MU NA.

Not a description of mechanism. A naming of source. The root force KA, operating through the full structure of the visible and invisible, is what sustains TO KO TA CHI and drives SO KO SO KI. It is what makes an electron remain an electron, and what makes the universe dynamic rather than still.

Verse 09 is also the first Verse in which Composite Glyphs appear — characters formed by fusing two or three Sonic Elements into a single glyph. The structural complexity of what is being described has increased. The script reflects this.

The electron does not forget what it is.

Something is continuously reminding it.
