Did space and time exist before anything else?
We rarely question this. Space is where things exist. Time is the flow in which events occur. Before the universe began, the stage was already set — or so we assume.
But the analysis of Verse 05 unsettled this assumption. Spacetime is not a given container. It is created.
Which raises the next question: what is spacetime made of?
Katakamuna Verse 08 answers this.
U MA SHI TA KA KA MU A SHI KA HI HI KO
TO KO RO CHI MA TA NO TO KI O KA SHI
The final words of this Verse are O KA SHI.
Throughout the entire universe (O), shown by the action of KA (KA), unmistakably present (SHI).
The spacetime we inhabit is the manifestation of KA.
Why space and time are inseparable — physics describes this in equations. It does not explain why.
Katakamuna describes it like this.
Space (TO KO RO) and time (TO KI) arise from the same source — the same integration point (TO) of the ISR and the VPR. When ink is dropped into transparent water, the two permeate each other until the boundary between them dissolves and they can no longer be told apart. Space and time entangle in exactly this way — becoming spacetime.
Matter floats within it. We exist inside the ink-coloured water of spacetime and cannot separate time from space.
Because they were never separate to begin with.
The ancient Japanese word okashi (をかし) means wonder — the encounter with something that surpasses ordinary understanding.
O KA SHI shares its sounds with that word.
The most ordinary thing — the space and time within which every human being exists without a second thought — is the most extraordinary thing. KA showing itself, throughout the entire universe, without exception, at this moment.
Spacetime was not there from the beginning.
It is being shown, here, now, continuously.
